Pollution fee: Consumers would pay too dearly
If Initiative 1631 passes, we consumers will pay dearly for gasoline, electricity and to heat or air condition our homes.
Just as with the passing of the new minimum wage in this state, which we now know costs us more every time we pay for products and services, the cost of the new carbon fee would be paid by us -- not out of the accounts of Chevron, Phillips or BP.
