Trump: Commander in tweet uses bait and switch

In a recent friendly conversation, I mentioned that President Trump seems to have a lot to answer for. The response I received was that the Democrats have a lot to answer for, too.

Even if this is true, this does not negate the president’s behavior. He needs to be held accountable for his misdeeds.

Hearing something repeated again and again, whether from the president or your favorite news station, does not make it true.

Our president distracts us from reality. Think about the idea used by some salespeople of bait and switch and compare it to what our commander in tweet communicates daily.

Is this country’s moral compass broken? Are we sacrificing our sense of decency and fair play for political gain? Can Trump’s leadership be trusted, as it continues to foster hate and mistrust among citizens? Can we return to being civil to one another or become divided beyond repair?
