Unions: Anti-labor organization lacks credibility

Re: “Until unions full obey law, the fight will go on,” (TNT, 12/6).

Guest columnist Jeff Rhodes claims the Freedom Foundation is working for fairness and unions are not. The truth is that the Freedom Foundation lacks candor.

It gets funding from conservative billionaires like the Koch brothers to help destroy American workers’ right to collective bargaining. They want their billionaire friends to make more money by diminishing the wages of hard-working Americans.

The article also implies that unions have power over elected officials. That can’t be true.

First of all, less than 10 percent of American workers are union members. Second, conservative PACs and corporations have the financial resources to easily outspend unions when it comes to campaign contributions.

The Freedom Foundation should be more forthcoming about what it’s working for. It’s not fairness.
