Republicans: Forsaking oath for a corrupt president

President Trump believes Article II of the Constitution gives him the ultimate power to do whatever he wants without consequence. He is destroying the norms of the presidency and government and believes he is above the rule of law.

Never in history has a president been more corrupt, arrogant, unethical, incompetent and immoral. He attacks our institutions (FBI, CIA and intelligence agencies). Recently he called FBI agents “scum.” His actions are degrading several other agencies.

Now Trump is being impeached. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his fellow Republicans are stating publicly that they will not be impartial jurors. They are abdicating their oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution. Our democracy is in danger.

Republicans run for office because they say government is not working. Once elected, they prove it.
