Impeachment: Weakest case of three I’ve lived through
Re: “Republicans falling in line behind corrupt president,” (TNT letter, 12/20).
No Congressperson can claim impartiality in this matter. How anyone can support President Trump’s impeachment is beyond me.
What evidence compels the support? The shortest House “investigation” in impeachment history? “Prosecutors” in the House who declared long before “the call” to the Ukrainian president that their goal was to impeach?
The fact that no Republican witnesses were allowed during proceedings in the House Intelligence Committee? Having the House Judiciary Committee rubber stamp Rep. Adam Schiff’s largely hearsay Intelligence Committee report?
These are the weakest articles of impeachment of the three I’ve lived through, with no statutory crimes cited.
“The call” was not perfect. Trump is not perfect. Who among us is? It also was not an impeachable offense. Even less so if you believe, as I do, that the Bidens may not be above reproach either.
Drop the charade, stop wasting our money and do some work for We the People!
