Trump: True colors show during impeachment night rally

I watched parts of President Trump’s rally the night of the impeachment vote. Along with the usual business of these rallies, two things happened that were notable.

First was Trump’s poor treatment of the memory of John Dingel, the late Democratic congressman, after Dingell’s widow, who now holds his seat, cast a vote for impeachment. This was way out of line. Trump’s cruelty always amazes me.

The next day Republicans jumped in to support the legacy of Dingell. He served his Michigan district for 39 years.

Second, Trump kept referring to the rally crowd in the first-person plural – saying that “we” were impeached.

While I have differences with his voters, I don’t think they’re responsible for what he did. “We” the people are not to blame.

I saw a Trump supporter say something that was important. He said the economy was good, but he would never invite this man into his home as a guest.

There you have a taste of reality. Vote your wallet or vote your values. Pretty clear choices.
