Fuel standards: Pierce County leaders got it wrong
Congratulations to Tacoma for passing a climate emergency resolution this month. Shame on the Pierce County Council for passing a resolution declaring its opposition to the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency draft rule establishing carbon fuel standards.
While Tacoma is working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, educating its populace and employees on the clear and looming danger, and taking action to protect its citizens, Pierce County is fighting not to reduce emissions.
Really? You still don’t get it? I need to know first-hand what reasons you have for making this terrible decision.
My sincere appreciation for the three who voted “no.”
