Environment: Trump brings us closer to ruin
The final blow has been struck, allowing unchecked degradation and poisoning of the environment, by a president who care nothing about our planet except its exploitation to benefit him and his rich buddies.
The Trump administration plans to roll back the National Environmental Policy Act. The draft regulations would open national parks and other sensitive areas to energy development, mining, logging and pipeline development, absent reasonable environmental review and input from affected communities.
The loss of scientists to industry insiders in this administration is also appalling.
If this climate change denier is re-elected, we will have chosen the path toward our destruction, with increased pollution of air, water and land, further sensitive area and habitat loss, increased pole melting and more extreme weather.
Expecting multinational companies to act responsibly on our behalf is a bit like asking Vladimir Putin not to interfere in our elections.
Four more years of this may preclude the possibility of any significant mitigation of that destruction.
It seems that government of the corporations, by the corporations and for the corporations shall not perish from this earth. The only thing that might perish is we the people.
