Homelessness: Cities must enforce no-tolerance laws

Once again, what’s been tolerated is now accepted. What happened to trespassing, vagrancy and loitering laws?

Cities that tolerate homeless campers on sidewalks, in parks and other publicly owned property only perpetuate the increase of them and create the crisis.

Look what’s happened to Seattle’s homeless issue due to that city’s ultra-liberal government. Seattle is out of control, joining San Francisco and Los Angeles. Is that Tacoma’s plan?

Why is it a city’s responsibility to build “hobbit houses” for these individuals, or to find other housing for them? They are adults, and most have chosen to live in this manner.

It’s beyond time to enforce the laws. When the first campers set up on public property, move them out immediately; repeat offenders get a citation.

If the city must be involved, then it should only allow homeless individuals to go to some vacant city property - not in a business area or residential neighborhoods.
