Cheating: Baseball, politics are national disgrace

Is there another Babe Ruth to save the honor and love of baseball? How about a political figure to likewise save our nation?

Recently two baseball teams have cheated their way into winning the World Series. Their trophies should be removed.

Politicians who have cheated their way into the highest positions in the land have also been disgraced and be removed.

Examples must be made of those at every level who lie and cheat their way into winning at the game of baseball and into political positions. Both have tarnished and shamed their teams and their nation.

What kind of example are we setting for our children?

Cheaters never prosper! As in baseball and in life: Thou shalt not lie. Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not covet.

I am a lover of baseball, a self-described political junkie and a great-grandmother. I want to be able to hold my head high and be proud of our athletes and political leaders.

Let’s correct the mistakes before it grows like a cancer and becomes acceptable behavior for our children.
