Transportation: New residents help pay for growth
Re: “The not-so-simple math of state transportation,” (TNT, 2/16).
In this TNT op-ed piece, Rep. Jake Fey says a million people are moving into our state, but he doesn’t seem to acknowledge that they come in and pay property tax, gas tax and sales tax, just like the rest of us.
Surely this has some kind of impact on budgets.
By the way, what makes using Kelly Blue Book illegal for car-tab valuation? Fey makes this claim but doesn’t explain.
