Airline seats: No more flights longer than 2 hours for me

Re: “A cramped-seat crisis?” (TNT, 2/20).

This Baltimore Sun editorial regarding cramped seating in airliners really hits home.

As I type this I’m sitting at a beautiful location in Hawaii enjoying a wonderful vacation. That said, this will be our last trip anywhere by airplane that is more than two hours away. We are already lamenting our flight home in two days.

I’m not a large man and I would still regard the seats we had getting here as inhumane. We didn’t have any “reclining” fights because none of the seats reclined. I feel very sorry as well for the flight attendants that have to deal with all the cramped “rats.” Bathroom access is also really hindered at the rear of the plane.

Of course you can avoid this if you can afford to shell out the huge extra cost for first class. My wife and I will protest simply by not flying anymore.
