Background checks: Why enforce for guns but not cars?

Let’s apply Joe Biden and other Democrats’ philosophy on suing gun manufacturers for the pain and mayhem caused by their products to a more deadly item, used daily by almost everyone.

More carnage is caused in America by the irresponsible and reckless use of cars in a year than will ever be caused in a lifetime by guns.

You’ll never hear the news media or politicians condemn a vehicle type or the vehicle manufacturer for their product’s inappropriate use in a destructive and deadly manner. They rightly fault the driver, like should be done with a criminal’s illegal use of a gun.

Sadly, liberal America’s love affair with cars will never interfere with their unencumbered proliferation.

Politicians push for background checks on gun purchases and closing the gun show loopholes for public safety, but are unconcerned about background checking everyone’s driving record prior to dealer or private-party vehicle purchases, no matter what their hazardous driving record is.
