Cheating: An idea for Astros to make things right

Dear Houston Astros -

I’m sure you feel really bad for cheating to win the 2017 World Series. (Well, OK, mostly you feel bad for getting caught.)

I’m sure you want to make up for the egregious sins you knowingly and willingly committed against your opposing teams, the game of baseball and all the fans.

I have a simple solution: During the 2020 season, just tell each opposing batter what’s coming on each pitch.

“This one’s a fastball, Bob.” (Or curveball or slider or whatever.) Do that on every pitch throughout the season. What could be fairer than that?

If you win the World Series again, you can hold your heads high and honestly tell everyone you deserved to win.

And if your team gets stomped all season, you can still hold your heads high because you know you did the right thing.

Otherwise everyone associated with your 2017 team will be scum for all eternity.

I suggest you offer this proposal to Major League Baseball and the public via social media, so everyone knows you are stepping up to the plate on this.
