Bloomberg: Critics ignore his presidential qualities
Re: “Tacoma mayor errs by endorsing Bloomberg,” (TNT local viewpoint, 2/24).
The two writers neglected a few important points when listing Mike Bloomberg’s faults that would make him an unsuitable candidate for president.
The sexual harassment and hostile workplace accusations are still just that: accusations. No accuser had the fortitude to see that these accusations were proven.
On the contrary, Bloomberg has promoted women to positions of power and responsibility in his organization. He has stood up for women’s reproductive control rights, and equal rights for women.
Bloomberg is extremely wealthy. He has not taken a penny from any special interest group for any of those television ads. He has spent plenty of his own money to help combat climate change.
Sorry, but the op-ed smacks of the finest Republican spin, taken straight from the Carl Rove handbook.
