UWT: Border Patrol exclusion is utterly disrespectful

Re: “Border patrol asked not to attend UW Tacoma career fair,” (TNT, 2/26).

I read this article with disbelief. We are a nation of laws. By banning the Border Patrol from its career fair, the university shows a compete disrespect for our nation’s immigration laws, law enforcement personnel and elected officials.

Let’s pull all federal funding from the school, plus all federal student loans, and see how they feel about the Border Patrol then.

My wife is Filipino, and she can’t wait to become a citizen so she can vote. She is tired of seeing other immigrants who just want something without going through the proper process to get it.

And then when they don’t get what they want, they pull stunts like this to garner attention to their cause.

Either we follow the laws or we have anarchy!
