Trump: His leadership in crisis is calm, brave

Re: “Trump, as usual, is just making things worse,” (TNT, 3/25).

Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson’s criticism of President Trump’s handling of the pandemic is unfair.

Whining about personal attacks is just the president’s style. Other presidents have handled such attacks more eloquently; however, they haven’t been as effective.

The president is providing calm leadership in this crisis, contrary to what his base wants. His base thinks this plague is no different than the flu. Trump is brave to risk their ire.
