Disasters: COVID-19 now, climate change next

Re: “Mileage rule sets up showdown with California,”(TNT, 4/1/20).

The current administration’s onslaught on Obama-era environmental policies continues, as per this story of the EPA challenging the legality of the California auto emissions standards.

One would hope that Trump & Company’s “come to Jesus moment,” finally believing the truth behind the science of the current pandemic, would somehow carry forth in believing the undeniable science foretelling the growing global climate crisis.

Coronavirus is the disaster of the present; the climate crisis will be the disaster that imperils the lives of future generations around the globe.
