Economy: History will discredit those who ruined it

Checking our daily statistics, there is no meaningful improvement in Pierce County COVID-19 cases and deaths.

We should now focus on the economy because stress from lack of work will cause social disruption and illness.

The lesson of the New Orleans hurricanes is that when people don’t have jobs, typically riots happen three months later.

A big rub is the herky-jerky method of relaxing social distancing with the threat of putting restrictions back on again. Also, that certain industries can go to work and others not. This seems clearly political and discriminatory for the rest of us.

The grand social-engineering experiment is not working. In 10 years studies will definitively show as much. Those who advocated turning the economy “off” will be discredited in the history books.

It is time for a new direction. The money supply has been greatly inflated, and we may be dealing with out-of-control inflation soon. Pensioners won’t want this.

Open the economy fast and now.
