Justice: FBI defenders should be ashamed
“Justice Department dropping Flynn’s criminal case,” (TNT, 5/8).
Many Democrats and liberal pundits are criticizing US Attorney General William Barr and defending the tactics the FBI used against Gen. Michael Flynn.
This includes Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi, Jerry Nadler, Chuck Schumer and even former President Obama.
Their criticisms of Barr expose a shameful willingness to allow the use of unjust tactics to destroy an individual they view as a political adversary.
They claim the tactics the FBI used against Flynn are commonly used by police agencies and prosecutors throughout the country.
If this is true, and federal agents and prosecutors are allowed to sit in meetings and strategize how to create a crime rather than investigate one in order to gain conviction of a political opponent, then it’s truly shameful and we have a serious problem with our justice system.
Undoubtedly, those supporting such actions would be singing a different tune if similar tactics were employed against them.
