Masks: Dirty looks for protective equipment?
How did a simple device intended to help protect against an infectious virus become a symbol of one’s political affiliation?
The president doesn’t wear one, but I’m pretty sure that has more to do with vanity than rebellion against government control.
Meanwhile, his own health officials strongly recommend them, and his staff and advisors are now masked up.
So why is it that, while wearing a mask at Home Depot recently, I got looks of disdain from some unmasked customers? Our political leanings should have nothing to do with following common sense health guidelines.
If you want to identify with a particular tribe, wear a Biden button or a MAGA hat, but please do me the courtesy of minimizing my (and your) exposure to this virus by wearing a mask.
It won’t make you a limp-wristed liberal. Really.
