Masks: Pierce should follow King County example
I had occasion to visit a grocery store in North Bend recently. Generally I try to avoid out-of-town stops these days, but after a 12-mile hike, a beverage was in order.
Virtually everyone in the store was wearing a mask. I think we can all agree this is a rare sight in Tacoma.
I can only think the difference lies in King County requiring masks in indoor public spaces.
There’s no enforcement. The couple people not masked weren’t going to be dragged out of the store, and that’s fine. But most people are good people who will comply with reasonable directives to protect their community.
It’s time to step up, Tacoma/Pierce County! Requiring masks is just another way to love thy neighbor.
