Division: Shared blame for America’s travails

“Trump reactions to COVID, George Floyd prove he’s unfit,” (TNT, 6/8).

Once again TNT columnist Matt Driscoll has used his position of power journalism to blame all the ills threatening this country on Donald Trump.

What happened to George Floyd and others is an absolute travesty of justice. It is a moral wake-up call, as is the pandemic.

While Trump and the Republican Party aren’t perfect, neither are the Democrats.

The Bible tells us that a house divided against itself cannot stand. America’s house is beginning to crumble.

The latest is seen in moves by some cities to disband police departments. This is sheer craziness and an affront to all officers who are decent and deal with the mentally ill, drug addicts and criminals on a daily basis.

We have lost our moral compass and it is time to place God at the helm and humbly ask Him to lead our way back to decency, respect and love for one another in the same way we love ourselves.

Evil thrives when good men do nothing.
