Lincoln: Losing his statues would be a travesty

I am getting pretty fed up with all the BS going on. There are protesters now calling to tear down statues of President Abraham Lincoln.

Are these people aware that it was Lincoln who issued the Emancipation Proclamation that freed the slaves? Did their history teachers teach them that? Or were they too busy scanning social media on their iPhones to pay attention?

How many are aware that in the American Civil War, the overwhelming majority of the fighting and dying was done by whites? Most of the wounded and crippled were whites, as well.

If you look at all of human history, you will find bad in every people in the world. Every race has their bad actors, as well as the good.

But I challenge anyone reading this to name another country in the history of this world where the numerically dominant race went to war with itself.

With the freedom vs. the enslavement of another race of people as the reason for that war. On the scale that we fought our Civil War.
