Trump: Virus response pales next to Obama/Biden’s

Re: “We’re stuck with bad choice in 2020,” (TNT letter, 6/21).

Donald Trump has mishandled this pandemic so badly that nearly 130,000 Americans have died.

This corrupt president has taken to calling himself the president of law and order. The last to do this was Richard Nixon; that’s almost enough said.

Trump has been the most unwelcoming leader with respect to immigration, and his actions have been both cruel and illegal, with respect to both US and international law.

We could be happy just getting rid of him. But we actually have a choice. Joe Biden, who served as Barack Obama’s vice president, should satisfy us.

Can you remember back to the peaceful eight years of Obama’s leadership? He was fun, he was caring and he was scandal-free.

He took care of two would-be pandemics. His response to H1N1 resulted in 12,500 American deaths, and Trump said that was badly mismanaged. His response to Ebola resulted in either one or two American deaths.

There really is a choice, As the conservative Lincoln Project people say: “Vote for America, or vote for Trump.”
