Police: Removing stickers is political sellout
Re: “Tacoma police cars no longer sport ‘thin blue line’ stickers,” (TNT, 7/6).
This is wrong. Caving in time after time causes a division to form.
Officers have dangerous jobs because of criminals who have no regard for the law. They should be able to honor their lost (murdered?) friends and fellow officers certainly as much as the terrorists can bring hatred and violence to Seattle with little consequence.
The lack of concern for law enforcement officers by their superiors is a tragedy and nothing good will come of it.
For terrorists and others with their own racially and politically motivated agendas, caving in is a slippery slope with no end in sight.
