School reopening: Trump edict scoffs at science

Re: “Trump threatens to cut federal aid if schools don’t reopen,” (TNT, 7/9).

I simply cannot believe that federal leaders are dictating that public schools be fully open this fall.

Let’s see here; let’s cram 30 students into an already overcrowded portable. I wonder what this horrible virus might do in that situation? Hmmm... Anyone?

It is time to to allow science to guide our smart choices. COVID-19 abides by its own calendar, not those of our so-called national leaders.
