Congress: Strickland’s integrity, straight talk stand out

Marilyn Strickland running for Congress in Washington’s 10th District is one of the best things that can happen for Washingtonians.

She is a woman who has kept her integrity while serving in politics. She understands how important it is to create small businesses and to empower them for their best chance to succeed. She believes that living-wage jobs are the key to a vibrant city.

Her honesty, compassion and straight talk is what Washingtonians need in these times of unrest, economically and socially.

Pastors like myself have supported Marilyn for decades, including as a Tacoma mayor and City Council member, because we believe she is fair.

She has the fortitude to be a major player in the House, and to help bring our state and nation to a place of prosperity for every citizen, regardless of race, gender and social status.
