Congress: Strickland genuine, true to her roots

Marilyn Strickland and I have been friends since childhood. We remain close to this day. She has my enthusiastic support for Congressional District 10 because I’ve known her most of my life and she is the same person now that she was then.

She’s down-to-earth, funny and caring. When COVID hit, she was the first person to call and ask about my health and safety, and that of my co-workers and fellow nurses.

She checks in on me regularly and listens to me talk about workplace safety issues that I’ve faced working in mental health for nearly three decades.

I’m a registered nurse and a member of SEIU, and Marilyn is the kind of person I want to see in Congress.
