Democrats: They betray core Catholic principles

“I’m not the kind of Catholic who believes in Trump,” (TNT, 8/28).

I can never join the good doctor who states abortion is “abhorrent” but glibly adds: “it does not oblige you to obtain one.” He believes we should somehow support abortion for a “desperate woman” so she does not have to do it herself or seek an “unsafe one.”

Good grief, Doc, every abortion is unsafe for the unborn baby! Does the end justify the means? Is your end ethical? Does it do no harm?

I believe your scripture quotes are out of context. Let’s agree to love the sinner and hate the sin.

This is not about “believing” in Trump or Biden. Both will pass into history. It’s about what Democrats stand for. Abortion is only one of the unacceptable mainstays of the Democratic party.

If you are OK with creeping socialism, erosion of traditional family values and freedom of religion, assisted suicide, forced taxes to support contraception, abortion, questionable gender law and a sex education curriculum for grade school children that lacks common sense, then the Dems know what is best for you and your tax dollars.
