Religion: It’s inexcusable to gloss over abortion
“Religion: Faithful people aren’t one-issue voters,” (TNT letter, 9/13).
For a true Catholic, the issue of abortion should surpass all others. Abortion is the deliberate taking of a life. It is murder.
The letter writer mentions “immigration, income, gender equality, the death penalty, racism, attacks on immigrants/refugees, Social Security, Medicare, environment, and the welfare of our most vulnerable citizens.”
Who is more vulnerable than a baby in the womb with no choices available?
Catholics who substitute concern disguised as causes are not “pro-life,” they are “pro-choice” – choosing to ignore or dismiss the deaths of millions of babies. They are Democrats.
Once upon a time, we were all tucked safe and warm inside our mother’s womb. Our mothers chose to give us life. They were true Catholics!
