Recycling: Drop-off centers fill a big void

“Tacoma proposes locations for glass recycling centers,” (TNT, 9/21).

Having glass drop-off centers in Tacoma will streamline recycling, efficiency and community care.

I moved to Tacoma’s West End in May and was greatly surprised there were not neighborhood drop-off sites here in Grit City.

I have been dutifully driving my glass recycling down to Cirque Park in University Place every two weeks. It’s a bit out of the way but worth it.

Having a location at the Central Co-op, where I already shop, will be ideal.

Many thanks to the city for moving forward with this process.
