Sheriff election: Fajardo is the only proven leader

My family members, past and present, have given over 100 years of combined police service in various parts of the US. As a former teacher and long-time resident of Pierce County, I am wholeheartedly in support of Cyndie Fajardo for sheriff.

She is the only candidate with leadership experience and a demonstrated willingness to take on tough issues.

This is no time hold a popularity contest and elect a public relations man, based on sound bites and video clips seen on local news channels. Ed Troyer has held no supervisory role in the Sheriff’s Department and does not even carry the endorsement of retiring Sheriff Paul Pastor.

Give the good-old-boy cycle in Pierce County a kick in the pants, just like we did in the last county prosecutor election. Vote for the candidate who knows what it takes to lead and has stepped up now to help move us forward.
