County executive race: Seaquist best for healthy democracy

I support Larry Seaquist for Pierce County executive and his plans to address unemployment by mobilizing our county’s educational institutions.

As a teacher, I note and applaud his commitment to equity in education. When all citizens, young and old, can acquire the job skills they need to do meaningful work and contribute to the community, Pierce County will be a healthier, happier place.

Democracy starts at home in local government, and no one is more committed to a healthy democracy than Seaquist. In his distinguished Navy career and four terms in the Washington House, he honed the leadership skills our county needs.
