Election signs: No need for ugly confrontations

Why are President Trump supporters so afraid of losing the election that they drive around South Pierce County threatening those who put up signs for Biden-Harris?

Recently I became one of those in the cross hairs. It was a most unpleasant experience.

As I was about to place a Biden-Harris sign on a fence post, two men wearing camouflage stopped their pickup to tell me I couldn’t.

Explaining that I had permission from the property owners and every right to do what I was doing, I asked them why, in an area displaying many signs supporting the president, they would be afraid of a Biden-Harris sign.

They answered that the sign would be down as soon as I left.

State law, RCW 29A84.040, defines their actions to remove the sign as illegal.

This sort of petty activity has been ongoing in south county since early in the election cycle. Aren’t we better than that?
