Congress: In down economy, Strickland is battle-tested

The big question facing our region is how we will recover from the coronavirus pandemic, and who the best leaders are to help us do that.

Not only does 10th Congressional District candidate Marilyn Strickland understand that we can’t get our economy going until we address the core problem - the spread of this virus - she has the experience to help our region recover and rebuild.

She became Tacoma mayor in the early days of the Great Recession, had to make hard choices, then helped drive the jobs recovery - including helping attract over $1 billion in investment to Tacoma.

Beating this virus and rebuilding our economy won’t be easy. It’s possible will take someone battle-tested who’s led in a crisis and proven she can help communities recover and rebuild.

With a president who seems more focused on his personal grievances than an actual plan, we need other leaders to step up. That’s why I’m voting for Strickland.
