Trump: COVID denial will lead to landslide loss

In January President Trump was directly warned of the enormous threat posed by COVID-19 to the country. He is heard on the Bob Woodward tapes admitting it.

He made a choice. Given the strong economy he could have shared the truth with the American people, led the nation in the fight against the virus and cruised to re-election.

But Trump knows nothing of leadership. All he knows is to lie and sow fear, hatred and division. And he refuses to take responsibility. So he tried to sweep the crisis under the rug and pretend it would magically disappear.

He is still doing it today. And here we are, the worst record of any developed country, 220,000 deaths later and still fighting over something so simple as masks.

In less than three weeks Trump will be defeated in a landslide. The last incumbent to suffer this fate was Jimmy Carter in 1980. In those 40 years Carter has led an inspirational life helping others. He has more integrity in his little finger than Trump in his entire being.
