ELECTION: Experience counts in Edgewood race

In Edgewood, this Aug. 4 vote is vital. The mayor will be elected for 4½ years by these primary results.

The candidates have very different approaches to how they would run the city. Daryl Eidinger has five years of City Council experience and understands how different running a city is from running a business.

He has learned how dependent civic policy is on state and local law. His opponent has only business experience and is driven by wanting to spend very little. Eidinger knows that in order to have quality city services, quality city employees need to be attracted and maintained with competitive benefits.

Eidinger is practical, not wasteful, and understands how to make the quality of life for residents such that they will be proud to live in Edgewood.

Experience matters for City Council candidates as well. The voters pamphlet shows the obvious differences. I found it easy to decide who is best qualified to make decisions for my city. Time to vote.
