ELECTION: Harbaugh's been a champion for education
Harbaugh has my endorsement.
Why? It’s simple: She is a champion for the good of our children and their education.
I met Harbaugh at a 2009 PTA meeting. I observed a quiet person who listened intently. When she spoke, her comments were contemplative and positive, a trait she has exhibited on many occasions, even when attacked personally.
I’ve had the opportunity to see her in action over the years. She is the picture of grace, even in the face of adversity. She always conducts herself in a calm, thoughtful manner and focuses on issues and facts. She knows our district, its history and the challenges facing our board.
Harbaugh proudly participated in past bond and levy campaigns. Some tout this as something negative. I ask: Where were the other candidates? Were they standing up for schools? Who was attempting to help people understand the issues and needs of our district? Harbaugh was.
I’ve attended many board meetings, and Harbaugh is a constant presence. She gives all in what she believes is right, regardless of the outcome. Because of this, I support her for Peninsula School Board.
