ELECTION: Keep Ibsen on the City Council
I’m pretty conservative, and Tacoma City Councilman Anders Ibsen and I disagree on a lot of issues. But I’ve gotten to know him over the years, and I’ve come to the conclusion that he’s honest and willing to discuss issues openly – not just canned sound bites.
We don’t need a councilman who will do whatever the mayor tells him to do. We need an independent thinker like Ibsen who actually knows the issues, gives straight answers and responds quickly to neighborhood concerns.
As far as I’m concerned, anyone who stirs the pot and pushes the council to do the right thing is OK in my book. I’m not looking for a politician who goes along to get along. I want an active representative who actually listens to me and means what he says.
Ibsen serves our district, not special interests. That’s why he has my vote.
