ELECTION: Walters offers new voice at the port
Dick Walters is an excellent choice for Port of Tacoma commissioner Position 5.
Both Clare Petrich and Patrick Gallagher are well qualified, but I believe Walters will bring a refreshing new approach to the position.
We have a new alliance with the Port of Seattle and an opportunity to explore and merge the transportation by rail and truck with the new state Route 167 extension being approved. Walters has an excellent business background plus his marine experience as a Navy captain. He will do a great job.
