PAY: Liberals never apologize
There are many conservatives who would like Tacoma to raise the minimum wage to $15 per hour. They know that it will destroy job creation and slow the economy to a halt. They believe that this silly policy will be blamed for the city’s demise and that the creators of it will apologize and never think of doing anything this stupid again.
However, we are now seven years into the Obama administration. His policies like Obamacare and increased taxes have systematically increased the costs for business to hire and grow. Consequently we have the slowest recovery in the history of our country.
By now, with these energy prices, we should be seeing a 4 percent growth rate. Instead, we are growing at less than 2.5 percent. Millions more people are now living on food stamps than ever.
I have learned that the creators of these bad policies really never apologize. They don’t even change them. They simply keep things in place and make excuses. They blame the slow growth rate on the weather, the port strike and turmoil in Greece.
This is exactly what we will get after the $15 minimum wage destroys the business climate of Tacoma.
