JBLM: Don't buy near base and then complain
While visiting my dad in Tacoma, I noted a letter (TNT, 8-11) complaining about noise from Joint Base Lewis-McChord. The writer's point was to do the firing of artillery at the Yakima Firing Range.
I choose to live in Yakima, and we have windows rattle from exercises here, too. It is the sound of freedom, and few complain.
Don't build or buy a house by an airport, rifle range, military base or freeway and complain. They were here first and serve a purpose for everyone.
As civilizations become more "civil," barbarian enemies just wait and watch for weakness. Our military and population must be prepared, or we go the way of the Romans.
