GUNS: Media hype creates more violence

When anyone dies as the result of a gunshot, it’s a tragic event. The tragedy in Virginia Wednesday is one example.

But the gun control people need to look at the reality of what’s happening today in our society. It’s the media that put the pictures on the air, describe everything in detail and often have “live coverage” of a very tragic event for hours on end.

Why? Ratings!

The media should shoulder the blame for the results of their actions. Without the hype, I don’t believe that those individuals whose elevator doesn’t go to the top floor would seek out the attention.

Let’s put the blame where it belongs. The media outlets are not thinking of preventing future events; they just want to capitalize on the current ones.
