PUYALLUP: Robin Farris is about service

Decisive, Independent and a heart for community service are the words I would use to describe my cousin and candidate for Puyallup City Council, Robin Farris.

As a third-generation native of Puyallup and veteran of the submarine Navy, I would like to familiarize the Puyallup community with the workings of an individual who is willing to sacrifice her personal time and financial resources for the good of your city.

After attending the community meeting that resulted from the recent tragic events in Puyallup, Robin saw the need, and with the help of a local veterans group, organized a spaghetti feed to say “Thank you” to the Puyallup Police Department from a grateful community.

Robin did this without need for fanfare or credit, just simply because it was the right thing to do. That is the kind of individual I want leading my hometown in the future.

She is a 23-year veteran of the U.S. Navy who has an overwhelming desire to make your community a better place to live. If I could vote in Puyallup, she would have my vote, and it’s my hope she has your vote, too.
