REFUGEES: US could set a better example

We shudder as we watch daily broadcasts of the refugee crisis in the Middle East and Europe and wonder why the Europeans are not more receptive to the plight of these fellow humans beings.

The massive hordes may not be as great, but we have the same resistance with the crisis on our own border with refugee citizens of El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico seeking asylum from life-threatening lawlessness, violence, homelessness and poverty.

We should set a better example.
