ELECTION: Passing bond is a good investment

Because the Puyallup School District has such exceptional teachers and staff, more families are choosing to make Puyallup their home. The district now has more than 22,500 students and continues to grow.

This overcrowding is impacting all our kids. Even if we could keep squeezing in more portables, there are still not enough cafeteria spaces or common areas, and our existing schools need repairs and renovations.

Passing the School Construction and Facility Improvements Bond Nov. 3 will only cost about $5 more per year for a homeowner with a $250,000 home. This bond funds facilities only (not salaries) so will directly benefit the children who are the future of our Puyallup community.

That is a pretty high return on a $5 investment. Please join me in voting yes.
