ECONOMY: Clarifying economic 'facts'

Recently a letter writer took to task another letter writer for using football analogies regarding the economy and Obama’s clunkers.

I guess he must have his own sources for economic readings other than the GDP (Gross Domestic Product). If he were to check this source out he would see that the country’s economic growth has been an average of only 2.2 percent over the last five years when the government target has been 3 to 3.5 percent. These numbers come from just “simple research.”

Please look at the entire picture and not just one political party’s media sources.
