POLITICS: Be careful what you wish for

As far as the candidates running for president go, some people say that it can’t get any worse than it is now. Well I beg to differ. In fact, with every election it does gets worse, and this election cycle will be no different.

If we continue to do the same thing over and over again, why should anyone be surprised when things don’t get any better? As far as I’m concerned, doing the same thing over and over again with elections is just as bad as doing nothing at all.

Until we demand better candidates for public office - whether it be for president, senator or any other office - then why should we expect any real positive change? Furthermore, until we absolutely demand that those we do elect fully represent us, then we will most certainly continue to have no representation at all.

So it will keep getting worse as long as we keep doing the same thing over and over again, which some people might say is the definition of insanity.
