TCC: 'Community' should mean something
Re: “How can we save TCC community garden?” (Matt Driscoll column, 9-27).
I implore Tacoma Community College’s administration to relocate the garden on its campus so that both the college and the garden may continue to serve the community.
Perhaps a student project could be the relocation and management of the garden, incorporating agronomy, botany, and soil and land management concerns into the project. Including the current users of the garden in such a project would be a learning experience for all.
Certainly this situation can turned into a goodwill learning moment, and TCC can stay true to its name – Tacoma Community College.
